A hybrid condiment comprised of mayonnaise and ketchup has officially arrived in the United States after a campaign to launch the new sauce was successful. Mayochup, created by Heinz, was first revealed in April, when the condiment giant released the hybrid in the Middle East. After a successful launch, the company asked the US through an online poll whether they’d also be interested in stocking shelves with mayochup - and the results found more than a half a million people in favour of the sauce. Despite the people who’d voted in favour of mayochup’s US debut, the news of the soon-to-be-released dipping sauce has been met with mixed reactions from people on social media who think it is not a new invention at all.
